The paradox is that the information in the book is relevant, well structured but scattered across 300+ pages and voiced by the characters of the novel which I can't relate to. I went through Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012 book faster even I didn't really need that skills at that point. I don't remember the book that was harder for me to read. If that is the case - I am ready to experience something extraordinary now. We all know books from Arthur Hailey such as "Wheels" or "Airport" where we managed to wrap not always interesting information with a novel and made it super tasty. That was a huge dissonance between reality and expectations. ![]() The same feeling I had when I started watching Les Miserables and didn't expect that it is a musical. So there is a plot and there are few characters that interact. Fucking novel that wraps theory about well-being and productive tips. The theory and practise examples are not laid down in front of you as in the pop-science literature. What can go wrong? A weird way to provide information. Promises to tell something about self-organization, habits installation, the importance of good rest, and advice on how to build a mindset that helps to be more productive and happy. ![]() I will give it thumbs up despite the fact that it was one of the hardest reading experiences in my life. ![]()
